GUARDIAN FUND HELPED BRING 20 NEW MEMBERS TO CONGRESS GOP

Veterans and Minority Candidates take Center Stage

Washington, DC–Congressman Jack Bergman, MI-1, Chairman of the Guardian Fund, is pleased to announce that the PAC had a record-breaking year with 96 endorsements of conservative veterans and/or minority candidates. Of the 96, 94 made it to the November ballot and of that total 49 Incumbent Members of Congress, and 20 Members-elect won on Election Day.

Congressman Bergman stated, “As we celebrate these victories we recognize the critical role our men and women in uniform have on the future of our great Nation. Now, more than ever, it’s critical that we have Patriots in Congress who are willing to fight for the heart and soul of America.”

Bergman continued, “With over $355,000 donated directly to candidates this cycle, the Guardian Fund endorsed the largest group of conservative Veterans and minorities in its ten-year history.”

Guardian Fund is a political action committee established in 2012 by Lt Col Allen West. The current Chairman is Congressman Jack Bergman, MI-1. The Guardian Fund has assisted in the elections of 160 veteran and minority candidates nationwide since its inception.

Guardian Fund Independent Expenditures 2022

During the 2022 Election Cycle, Guardian Fund supported incumbent candidates through a social media program highlighting each candidate’s “Guardian Fund” qualifying strengths. Three rounds of social media posts were created for each candidate and promoted to targeted audiences in the respective districts. These posts included a bio-post for each candidate along with the importance of having military members in Congress, the importance of American Conservative values and a GOTV post. All of the Guardian Fund endorsed incumbent candidates were reelected to Congress.

For the Guardian Fund endorsed challenger candidates, a 60-second ad was created. This “Send a Battalion” ad was placed on digital and cable outlets, including Fox News, Fox and Friends, and Fox Business. The ad showcased each candidate and emphasized the importance of having veteran and minority conservatives elected to Congress. Through these combined efforts, Guardian Fund was able to reach a targeted audience of 1,025,540 people with over 5 million impressions served.

Fundraising 2022 Election Cycle!

The Guardian Fund, under the leadership of Congressman Jack Bergman, continues to be a leadership PAC of the people. We are proud of the fact that we are a grassroots fundraising organization. To that end, in 2022 over 20,000 separate donations supported the PAC with an average gift of $39.00. For the entire election cycle, we had over 45,000 separate donations!

Guardian Fund donated over $355,000 in contributions directly to individual campaigns and spent over $300,000 in independent expenditures (IE’s).
The Guardian Fund, also made the decision this year to set up The Guardian SuperPAC to help with independent expenditures (IE’s) to further help our candidates. Funding the SuperPAC will be a point of focus in 2023.

As we go into the 2024 presidential election cycle, we will once again be seeking out and supporting principled conservative veterans and minority candidates who believe in our constitutional republic.

The Guardian Fund team wants to thank each and every one for your unwavering support and hopes that we can continue to count on your financial support going forward!

CONSERVATIVE VETERANS AND MINORITIES POISED TO TAKE THE HOUSE

CONGRESSMAN JACK BERGMAN, MI-1, LT. GEN. (RET.), USMC CHAIRMAN, THE GUARDIAN FUND

In these dark times for our Nation, there are silver linings to be found and a strong momentum in the quality of men and women running for public office. Today, there are more Veterans running for national office than in any other cycle over the last decade. If anyone understands how to turn our country around through service before self, it’s a Veteran.

It’s a sad reality that less than 20% of our current Congress has served in the military – but we hope to change that at The Guardian Fund. Just a few decades ago, that total was 70%, and it is our priority to support more conservative Veterans and minorities across the country who will fight for what is right and lead with conviction.

As chairman of The Guardian Fund and as someone who served in the Marine Corps for 40 years, I understand the unique skill sets that our men and women in uniform bring to public service and the importance of recruiting more individuals of their moral caliber to run for office. Those who have served our Nation know what it takes to win and know how to stand for the conservative bedrock principles which built our country and made us prosperous.

With our current abysmal state of affairs, dereliction of duty among our Nation’s leaders runs concerningly deep. That’s why I am hopeful for a new Congress with a fresh generation of conservative leaders, especially those whom The Guardian Fund has found to answer the call. I have every confidence that our Veteran candidates who have stepped up in this critical election cycle to serve the United States in a new capacity will bring the same dedication and grit to Congress that they exhibited in the military.

Infusing our legislative branch with conservative minority and military leaders is the antidote to the insidious trend of self-aggrandizement and selfish ambition in Congress. The Guardian Fund was proud to endorse nearly 100 candidates – 74 Veterans, 26 minorities, and 7 minority Veterans – a diverse group of loyal, selfless, and astute leaders who bring both the unique perspective of military and minority conservatism to the table.

Democrats relentlessly attempt to box minorities and Veterans in their ideological encampments, maligning them when they dare to venture into free-thinking territory. It’s important, then, for The Guardian Fund to empower these candidates to vocalize their experiences and to coalesce for America first principles.

With this historically large class of minority and Veteran candidates in the midterm election cycle, I believe we are seeing a fundamentally positive shift in the quality of our country’s leaders and a return to fiscally and socially conservative policies which will right our sinking ship.

Washington, DC–Congressman Jack Bergman, MI-1, Chairman of the Guardian Fund, is pleased to announce the PAC’s endorsement of 47 Members of Congress who are conservative veterans and/or minorities running for federal office in 2022.

Congressman Bergman stated, “As we celebrate Veterans Day, we recognize the critical role our men and women in uniform have on the future of our great Nation. Now, more than ever, it’s critical that we have Patriots in Congress who are willing to fight for the heart and soul of America.”

Bergman continued, “With over $100,000 donated directly to candidates this year, the Guardian Fund is poised to endorse the largest group of conservative Veterans and minorities in its history in 2022. We will not sit idly by and let leftists try to take over our government, schools, freedoms, and families. It’s time to stand up and elect proven leaders up and down the ticket.”

The purpose of the Guardian Fund is to promote conservative minority and veteran leaders who we believe will successfully restore our great country back to the constitutional republic established by our founding fathers.

The United States deserves to be led by individuals who not only understand our military, but by those who have sworn allegiance. Forty years ago, 72 percent of lawmakers in the US House and 78 percent of those in the US Senate honorably served in the armed forces. We need servicemen and women to safely lead us through the challenges on the 21st-century battlefield and to represent this country on the world stage.

Also, the diversity of the American people gives this country its unwavering strength and makes the United States exceptional. With the demographics of the U.S. population in continual flux, it’s more critical than ever for there to be an accurate representation of the American people in government. For far too long, Republicans have been bound by a grossly inaccurate description of their party and battled against definitions of conservatism ascribed by outside groups. The Guardian Fund wants to help elect more conservative minorities to Congress so that Republicans from all walks of life are given a voice on Capitol Hill.
